You have no doubt seen the Binkley Boosters fundraising (dine and donates, Turkey Trot, See's candy, spirit wear, Read-a-Thon, Heart Grams--the list goes on!) and you might have wondered--where does that money go? Of course, every dollar goes back to Binkley in one way or another, but the distribution might surprise you! We work closely alongside Principal Harvell to make sure these funds are put to their best possible use for all our Bobcats!
Field Trips
Parents are asked to donate to field trip costs if they are able, but Boosters provide scholarships for students in need as well. We also help offset the costs for the more expensive field trips--if you attended our Winter Festival in December, you helped send this year's 4th grade classes to Coloma!
Classroom Supplies
Did you know Boosters provide a stipend check to every teacher at the beginning of the school year to help purchase supplies? The Bobcat folders that go home with every student each year are also made possible by Boosters fundraising!
Assemblies & Programs
Assemblies are often paid for from Boosters funds, from Common Ground Society's inclusion assembly to the BMX bike rider demonstration. Grade level specific programs are also sponsored by Boosters, like the recent 6th grade "Ancient Arts and Tech" program from Paleotechnics! Other programs help bring together our Binkley community--if you've enjoyed Coffee with the Principal, your coffee and donuts have been provided by Boosters funds!
Student Incentives
We all know kids love a good prize, and many of those prizes are funded by Boosters! Each month, one student from each class is selected as the Bobcat who best embodies the month's theme. These students receive a coveted Bobcat of the Month hat. Students who master their first 100 sight words are rewarded with a t-shirt which they wear with pride! Classes who fill up their ticket jars as part of Binkley's PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program earn class rewards like a dance party with the principal!
Playground Equipment
Have you seen the "sensory paths" painted in the kindergarten play yard and other areas around Binkley? How about the new "point and play" banner near the big toy, which helps our non-verbal and limited-verbal students communicate and connect with their peers at recess? These playground upgrades were sponsored by Boosters, along with the new gaga ball pit a few years ago!
Community Events
Building a supportive and welcoming community is a big portion of the Boosters mission, and community events are at the center of our efforts. We organize and host multiple free community events throughout the school year for all Bobcat families to attend, including the popular Welcome Back Party, Trunk or Treat, and Multicultural Night! We also support events that take place during the school day to include all students, such as Fine Arts Day, Field Day, and Camp Binkley.
And More
The list of projects and events at Binkley that are supported by Boosters fundraising is a long one, and we couldn't do any of it without you! Thank you for your support!

Estos estudiantes reciben un codiciado sombrero Bobcat of the Month.
